Job Description:

The Brokerage Officer collects and interprets data to help a company take actionable steps to improve performance and meet goals. Their primary duties include identifying, gathering, analyzing data and making their insights accessible to the company through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables and reports.

Job Duties

  • Attend to post declaration enquiries from internal and external customers

  • Analyzes and investigates shipment failures to determine errors, identify possible problems, and propose corrective action required for prevention.

  • Communicating with different functions to correct failures.

  • Maintain and generate regular reports as required

  • Control the daily workflow and identify any workflow failure and areas of improvement

  • Assist with monitoring service levels and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the accomplishment of internal targets

  • Attending to customer enquiries

  • Performs tasks as directed by management

Job Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma in Business Administration, Customs Brokerage or related fields

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred

  • Display excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

  • Able to remain calm under pressure and manage customer-facing dialogue

  • Able to work as part of a team and show initiative/positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable, with high integrity and a strong work ethic

  • Certificate in Customs Competency for Declarant will be preferred
