Keeping UPSers Safe

What is UPS doing to enhance employee safety during COVID-19?

UPS follows CDC guidelines.

How are employees being protected during COVID-19?

Following CDC guidelines, we highly recommend employees wear a mask to help defend against COVID-19. Employees may wear masks at their own discretion unless local conditions require increased safety measures. Social distancing is recommended in common areas, even if fully vaccinated.

What happens if an employee or household member tests positive for COVID-19?

An employee is eligible to receive Emergency Paid Leave (maximum 10 days) if they test positive for COVID-19, a member of their immediate household tests positive, or they are mandated to quarantine by UPS Health and Safety, a treating physician or a public health official.

Are UPSers required to take COVID-19 tests?

We cannot legally force an employee to be tested, absent an Executive or Public Health Order. For those who do wish to test, UPSers and family members enrolled in UPS medical coverage may receive COVID-19 testing at no cost.

Can office-based professionals work remotely?

Opportunities to work remotely are decisions made at the local management team’s discretion.
