UPS Package Delivery Drivers do not need a CDL, just a valid driver’s license issued in the state that they live in.

It will depend on your role. Some positions don’t require an interview while others do—just like when people apply for their first role at UPS.

Successfully securing a new role will depend on the position you apply for. For union-represented opportunities, including driver positions: UPS will review your seniority and qualifications (i.e., driver qualifications) for the position. For all other opportunities: UPS will review your education, skills, length of service and certifications (if relevant) to verify that your qualifications match the job you applied for.

Union-represented and other UPSers, both part- and full-time, are eligible for education assistance from day one. Through this program, you can receive up to $5,250* per year or $25,000* per lifetime. You can also get financial support for books and other materials needed for your studies.*Dependent on length of service and geographic location

Requirements and qualifications will differ by role. Union roles include package drivers, tractor trailer drivers and mechanics.
