Metropolitan College

How It Works

Program Requirements

Attending JCTC or UofL? We cover both!

Must be actively working as Next Day Air part-time hub, ramp or freight employee in Worldport operations (Shifts start between 9 pm and 4 am.)

However, to utilize MC benefits at the University of Louisville (UofL), If you have less than 60 transferable college credit hours or have not earned an associate degree, you must meet one of the following requirements to participate in the UofL MC program:

-Completed 60 transferable college credit hours or have earned an associate degree.
-Cumulative 3.0 HS GPA or greater (GED 530) AND 21 ACT/106 SAT composite or Superscore.
-Cumulative 3.3 high school GPA or greater (GED 562) no ACT/SAT test score required.

MC strictly adheres to these requirements, so no rounding up! If you do not meet the MC UofL eligibility requirements, you can either attend Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) to participate in the MC program or take advantage of the UPS Earn & Learn program until you reach the 60 transferable hours or have obtained an associate degree.

*Beginning fall 2020, MC will consider a first-time MC student's ACT Superscore of 21 or higher or the SAT Superscore equivalent of 1060, if the minimum 21 ACT or 1060 SAT composite score is not met.

The ACT Superscore is the average of the student's highest Math, Science Reasoning, Reading, and English section scores. The SAT Superscore is the sum of the student's highest Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing scores.
