Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development and execution of comprehensive yield management strategies aimed at maximizing UPS’s profitability and market position. This includes assisting with the creation of account strategies, implementing rate increases, defining key metrics, and assessing their impact to the overall business. The role also involves identifying profit improvement initiatives to align with business needs. 

Job Responsibilities

The individual will assist in preparing data-driven insights and support senior management in the review of strategic recommendations. This includes collaborating with stakeholders in Marketing, Finance, and Sales to help align on the implementation of yield management strategies.

A key aspect of the role is collaborating with the APAC commercial team and other regions to execute yield management strategies effectively. The individual will ensure that strategies are executed smoothly, supporting the team’s efforts to meet business objectives.

In addition, the role requires retrieving and analyzing shipment and revenue performance data, transforming complex data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Pricing, Revenue Management, and Marketing teams. By analyzing key performance metrics, the individual ensures that stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.

The individual will also assist in creating and presenting reports that assess business performance. These reports provide senior management with valuable insights, supporting decision-making and shaping future strategies. 

Additionally, the individual will support the maintenance of reporting databases and dashboards, ensuring that these systems are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the commercial team’s needs. This enables efficient, data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative related discipline

  • 1- 3 years of relevant working experience

  • Display strong analytical skills, business acumen and value focused

  • Proficient in SQL and VBA/Python programming languages

  • Knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power Automate, would be a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with different stakeholders

  • Excellent time management and be able to work under pressure

  • Ability to adapt to multi-cultural business environment

  • Knowledge of air cargo/express industry and revenue management would be a plus
