Job Overview:

The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the dispatch of drivers, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining communication with drivers and clients as well as internal stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of drivers for timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Assess workload and allocate maximizing fleet utilization.
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure efficient routing and adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and track delivery progress and address any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Liaise with clients to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of logistics operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices
  • Ensure all deliveries/pickups are done efficiently & all specific customer requests are communicated to the transport team
  • Maintain and monitor data management system to organise fleets as per various schedules and requests.
  • Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling and planning
  • Oversee the vehicles for maintenance and ad-hoc repair work where required
  • Monitor and ensure the fleet operation is compliant with local and state rules and regulations
  • Attend to driver queries
  • Ensure all freight returned back to MNX is handed to the correct departments with a POD
  • Ensure all Drivers complete GPS tagging at the start and end of each working day
  • Colloborate with the Customer Account Managers and Customer Service support staff to ensure service delivery standards are met.
  • Improve operational and logistical service standards and maintain quality of service
  • Tracking and tracing of trucks, report delays and customs issues to appropriate departments. 
  • Troubleshoot problematic deliveries such as damaged items or closed sites.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role
  • Able to work from complex instructions and procedures.
  • Able to co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision.
  • Responsible for the quality of their own work.
  • Possesses sound interpersonal and communication skills.
