Job Description:
The Senior Systems Design Specialist contributes to the development of UPS’ Corporate Systems strategies and projects. The Senior Systems Specialist should have advanced 2D and 3D modeling skills and be self-motivated to learn UPS design standards. The Senior Specialist will also develop complex 3D assets with parametric features for our Standards Library, edit existing 2D and 3D drawings, and develop new 3D designs to support their project team.
This is not a remote or flex location; employee is required to come into the facility for their regular schedule
Job Level: Entry-level, Specialist
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains conveyor component assets using 3D software.
- Develops and/or edits feasibility designs using 2D and 3D assets.
- Collaborates with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Maintains and meets project schedules.
- Assists with development of feasibility designs based on Industrial Engineering requirements, including 2D or 3D CAD drawing sets, equipment manifests and estimates.
- Provides project support for the Region and District Engineers.
- Trains and assist others with Autodesk task.
Preferences
- Proficient with Autodesk or SolidWorks 2D and 3D Software.
- Meticulous with the ability to distinguish between “big picture” concepts and detailed facts, while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and with appropriate level of detail to impact end goals.
- Project management experience with the ability to develop project plans and manage the project to completion utilizing Microsoft Project or Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook).
