As a Fleet Maintenance and Management Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient fleet of vehicles to support the business. You will ensure proper care and usage of physical assets, perform cost controls as well as conduct regular equipment and facility audits. This role requires you to manage external vendor relationships, work closely with auto mechanics and internal customers, and supervises mechanics in the South District.
Handle workshop/storage room appearance and its’ surroundings, as well as ensure facility safety compliance. Carry out vehicle appearance checks when visiting.
Review auto cost reports and expenses (actual vs. plan). Verify vehicles’ condition report for accuracy and follow up on defects.
Check Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) reports for correct service intervals. Review with vendors to determine inspection methods required and make sure quality of maintenance are being adhered to.
Audit auto parts standard inventory and check stocks for balance.
Conduct technical and fleet management skills training (for operations and Center Auto).
Check car wash tools, wash methods and performance with outsourced vendor. Assist Center Auto for vehicles’ re-painting & re-decaling.
Stay up-to-date with Center Auto on manufacturer's notices, bulletins and campaigns. Review vehicles’ specification, verify modification items and provide cost information for orders.
Review vehicles’ downtime, breakdown memos and attend road calls weekly update. Identify issues and action to be taken for improvement - follow up with vendor/supplier as and when necessary.
Ensure vehicle insurance, plate/operating license, express entrance/permission application and renewals are being managed accordingly.
Review/submit BP Auto Staffing, fleet maintenance expenses, vehicle retirement authorization and car order report of various countries for approval.
Remain well-informed of local vehicle/traffic regulations. Ensure compliance on cities’ entrance per vehicle tonnage and sizes as well as latest emission requirements.
Review/audit motor carrier compliance on risk areas. Identify the areas that are according to standards and those that requires improvement for operation’s follow up. Provide guidelines to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
Provide EV & Alternative Fuel Vehicles models where the markets are available and plan ahead to see if there are any Government's subsides / incentive which can be applied.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive or Vehicle Maintenance are highly preferred. Those majoring in Industrial Engineering will also be considered.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of commercial fleet experience as a Technician or Specialist. You will also have the relevant mechanical and technical knowledge.
Has mechanical-related certification and/or licenses for technicians
Possess a driving license (Class 3A and other types of class for both light and heavy trucks)
Excellent English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and to work well with people of all levels.
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Comfortable with occasional travelling.
