Job Description:

The Implementation Supervisor II supports mid to large scale projects consisting of single/multi-site implementations with multiple products and services. He/She analyzes customer solutions and actively participates in successful solution implementation while meeting the needs of customers and the company. This position is involved in implementation model development (e.g., deployment and plan definition, scheduling of implementation phases, communication, user acceptance training, project management, reporting, etc.). The Implementation Supervisor II manages cross functional implementation teams and provides ongoing analysis of implementation projects, plans, templates, outcomes, lessons learned, and post-implementation audits as defined by the implementation Master Operating Plan (MOP).

JOB DUTIES

Defines Plan Deployment

  • Implements plan definitions encompassing mid to large size scale projects with single/multi sites and multiple products and service components to ensure an effective project plan is delivered.

  • Gathers impacted user-base and location statistics to evaluate findings and compare to current models.

  • Enlists stakeholders to define criteria and constraints associated with implementation scope and deployment strategy to ensure an effective project implementation.

  • Develops the definition of the deployment strategy to ensure schedules and costs are aligned to the project plan.

  • Defines resource needs, roles, and responsibilities to implement the scope of work and establish reporting structures, and assist in the deployment strategy.

  • Manages project lifecycles.

Implements Scheduling and Communication

  • Builds the work breakdown structure and determines deployment order (e.g., location, customer, user group, etc.) to ensure theproject plan is properly implemented.

  • Serves as a key contact to impacted parties, products, and services across the business to ensure an effective implementation.

  • Defines communication tools and identifies communication groups to build a communication plan.

  • Provides scheduled status reports and feedback forums to provide feedback and guidance to field operations and the contract negotiation team.

  • Manages issues and risks to ensure the stakeholder and sponsor-approved escalation and mitigation plans are followed.

  • Participates in contact reviews with legal and operations to ensure stakeholders are informed.

Develops in Deployment and Reporting

  • Controls completion of project deliverables to ensure they remain within the budget and timeline.

  • Manages variances against project tasks (i.e., planned versus actual) to determine impact and contingency needs.

  • Gathers feedback from implementation efforts and post-production audits to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Obtains stakeholder sign-off for project deliverables to ensure deliverables meet expectations.

  • Conducts surveys of users and impacted parties to identify improvements for implementation processes, future models, next site,groups, and customers.

Monitors User Acceptance Testing

  • Monitors initial training, when required, to support field tests for the projects' products and processes.

  • Monitors training (i.e., train the trainer), when required, with user groups to ensure a clear understanding of project responsibilities.

  • Monitors focus group meetings with users (i.e., internal and external customers) after the initial test to make modifications to products and processes.

  • Responsible for user acceptance testing activities (UAT) to ensure the successful delivery of the final end solution and all customer business requirements have been successfully achieved.

Manages Mid to Large Size Projects

  • Manages mid to large size project lifecycles, including project scope, resources, schedule, initiation, start-up/design, building, and deployment to see projects from beginning-to-end.

  • Forwards design documents to stakeholders to obtain sign-off, agreement on project costs, and needed resources.

  • Develops mid to large size project plans (i.e., detailed plan, milestones, and work breakdown structures) and assigns tasks to resources to ensure that the project will be completed on time and according to specifications.

  • Ensures affected functions or groups are identified and works with them to negotiate process changes, ownership of processes,and to manage project impact.

  • Designs and implements communication plans to ensure those affected by projects are informed and updated.

  • Follows up with assigned resources formally (e.g., status meetings, etc.) and informally to continuously manage the productivity of the team, project timelines, and deliverables.

  • Balances multiple projects (i.e., mid to large size) and deployment schedules to meet stakeholder goals and expectations.

Supervises and Develops Others

  • Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.

  • Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.

  • Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.

  • Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.

  • Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering related disciplines

  • Possess 2-4 years of experience in the Logistics industry, preferably in the Healthcare Sector

  • Possess Project Management experience, preferably with certification

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including MS Project, MS Visio, MS Access)

  • Display good communication and presentation skills

  • Willing to travel when business requires (occasionally)

  • Demonstrate flexibility in work time and place as this role requires working with stakeholders across different time zones.
