Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to optimize the month-end close and monthly reconciliation cycle for the Global Accounting Centers (“GAC”)

  • Collaborate with the Systems and Programming teams to author requirements for necessary programming changes (if required) and work with these teams to execute identified automation opportunities

  • Responsible for completion of user acceptance testing after programming changes are made prior to placing into production

  • In collaboration with Controls team, develop mitigating controls for new or updated processes, policies and system changes.  Help monitor adherence to these new mitigating controls via creation and publication of monthly reporting.  Ensure any applicable updates are made to Enterprise-Wide Accounting Policy and Procedure Manual (“EWAPPM”) policies related to pursued initiatives

  • Responsible for the documentation of the end-to-end process of the identified opportunities including the mitigating controls and associated EWAPPM updates

  • Communicate and train the relevant teams on the changes made to the month-end close and monthly reconciliation cycle

  • Work with the GAC on the execution of the identified opportunities and track the progress

  • Provide accounting and GAC and UPS institutional knowledge to the relevant teams including the GAC to ensure the smooth execution of identified opportunities

  • Support ad-hoc projects when necessary

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Possess 3-5 years of experience in accounting or internal audit or public accounting

  • Display excellent oral and written communication skills, minimally in English

  • Prior experience in an accounting shared service environment preferred

  • Knowledge in data analytics will be an advantage

  • Candidate need to possess the rights to work in Singapore
