Job Description:

Job Summary
The Brokerage Manager’s missions are to develop operational goals and plans, influence and dominate operations performance to meet customer deadlines, and build a close and productive relationship with customers and governmental agencies. He/She manages people development to provide skilled brokerage professionals and future leadership candidates. He/She is responsible for leading the department financial performance, directing workloads and regulating standard operation procedures (SOPs), governing compliance with regulatory requirements for UPS Operation, supporting Sales and Marketing to target customers. This position is the subject matter expert for customs brokerage, champion for continual improvement and training needs of the brokerage department, engaging team member cross functionally to increase market growth, and obtain outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Govern Brokerage Compliance and Quality Process

  • Supervises Account Management Process

  • Participates in Industry Associations

  • Manages and Develops Others

  • Monitors Brokerage Productivity and Service

  • Manages Broker Partners


Qualifications:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent

  • At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in the related field of Customs Brokering (preferred)

  • Minimum 5 Year(s) of successful people management experience is preferred

  • Well-updated and keeping abreast to the Customs’ changes and updates

  • Possess leadership qualities and relevant Customs Brokerage Certification (preferred).

  • Positive and able to work well in a team with excellent interpersonal skill which includes
    conducting presentation to the top management.

  • Confident, customer-oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve results

  • Technical skillset in Customs Brokerage preferred
