Job Summary

This position (transfers/renewals) is responsible for fostering positive Franchisee and Area Franchisee relationships by communicating with The UPS Store, Inc. personnel, Franchisees, and Area Franchisees to complete the all aspects of a center transfer or renewal within established timeframes. This role is also responsible for facilitating following up on upgrade requirements to ensure centers meet current image compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the center transfer and renewal processes for multiple center events simultaneously ensuring all requirements and timeframes are met by all parties involved in the center transfer and renewal processes
  • Communicates cross functionally to resolve any issues impacting the renewal/transfer event completion
  • Reviews financial verifications and routes funding packets to Finance Department for final approval
  • Analyzes legal documents to determine if complete, correct, and in accordance with legal regulations and the sales and purchase contract
  • Issues letters and agreements, including Transfer/Renewal Upgrade Agreement, escrow letters, buyer’s approval and final demand letters
  • Provides ongoing guidance/support to the area office, retail consultants, region coordinators, and home office associates regarding the renewal and transfer processes
  • Confirms all requirements are met prior to finalizing the renewal or transfer of a Franchise Agreement
  • Creates upgrade requirements and supporting legal agreements to ensure The UPS Stores are compliant with current brand standards at the time of any transfer or renewal event
  • Maintains internal databases and trackers to report on renewal and transfer event progress for dispatched center assignments
  • Performs other duties as assigned (i.e. franchise agreement execution and mailing, compliance package review, family transfers, etc.)

  • Demonstrates advanced organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Displays a positive attitude
  • Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree)
  • Possesses working knowledge/understanding of The UPS Store Franchise Agreement
  • Experience in dealing with legal documents, customer issues and financial institutions
