Job Title: FDA Processor

Job Summary: FDA processors verify if FDA is required for informal and formal entries before submitting to CBP. If FDA is required they will assign the required information (i.e. Product Code, MID, AOC, etc) and submit to FDA for review. After entry has been reviewed, the processors then submit entry to CBP.
Job Description: FDA Processors will submit all necessary forms and required documentation to the Food and Drug Administration to secure release of international shipments being imported into the U.S. They also initiate contact with importers/shippers in order to obtain required documents.
Required Skills: Must have successfully completed a Brokerage Rating class. Must possess general knowledge of U.S. importing and Brokerage processing. Need to be fluent in the following systems: BOSS, BISI, ISPS, Outlook, and the internet/intranet. Candidate must have an acceptable attendance record (maximum of 4 occurrences within a 6 month period). This position requires a team player. Candidate must be able to handle confidential information and be a skilled communicator.
Additional Skills: Previous training/experience in FDA processing is preferred. General knowledge of OPSYS, TTS, and ACE.
Interpersonal Skills: Self-starter highly motivated and career oriented. Be able to work within tight time constraints. Individual must have excellent organizational skills and be capable of handling multiple tasks throughout the day. Able to work within a measured job product.
Work Environment: Louisville Brokerage office. Dress code is business flex attire. Candidate for this position will be working in a group of six who are part of a team of twelve employees.
Additional Notes: (Limited) Flex time 15 minutes after scheduled start time. The job freeze for this position is October 1 - December 31.
