Job Description:

Job Summary

  • This job impacts the organization by providing technology support activities, focusing on Japanese Account volume development, utilizing technical global CSG, Third Party, UPS and/or business unit resources and developing solutions where none exist.  This position primarily supports the Japan market, working closely with the Japanese Business Development Manager, the Japan Enterprise/Global Business Group and the Japanese Customer Facing team in developing technical solutions for the Japanese customers.  As and when required, the person will also support other APAC region under the direction of The UPS CSG SOLDI IT Manager. This person will report directly to Region SOLDI Manager (IT) based in Hong Kong.


  • Work with International Global and Enterprise Accounts, Region CSG, and Account Mangers, to provide technical support and worldwide solutions that often entail operations planning and solutions development and implementation and Post Implementation support and troubleshooting.
  • Support global CSG Technology training, solution development initiatives, rollout and support for CSG Technology developed solutions implemented in the Asia Pacific Region.
  • Support development, execution, tracking and attainment of the CSG Business Plan
  • Support CSG technology deployment initiatives with field resources
  • Providing Post Implementation Support for all Asia Pacific developed solutions to ensure that service commitments are not compromised or that service failure are kept to an absolute minimum.
  • Provide for Disaster Recovery action in the event of a system crash for Asia Pacific developed solutions to minimize service disruption to the customer and to ensure that system is brought back online in the shortest possible time.
  • Post Implementation support
  • Ability to travel is a requirement.


  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder with more than 3 years relevant experience preferred. Recommended majors include Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Management, and International Business.

Skills Competencies:

  • Required - Microsoft Acccess
  • 2+ years in programming and developing solutions in a Visual Basic environment, developing Microsoft Access Applications with MSA/SQL databases.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken "Japanese + English."
  • Working independently to design and develop application programs / solutions using .Net Suite (VB.Net).
  • Familiar with Web-services based API.
  • Familiar with OAuth and other authorization protocol.
  • Preferred - PJava, C++, SQL, C#, and HTML experience.
  • Documenting requirements and developing solutions based on the scope of work.
  • Coding, debugging and troubleshooting system errors.
  • Working experience in developing systems for the logistics / Supply Chain Management / Integrated Express Carriers will be a plus.
