Inventory Control Associate II

Job Description:  

The Inventory Control Associate II responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Generating and updating Trend reports to audit and monitor UPS Equipment Inventory levels.
  • Auditing daily fulfillment and support service exception reports and managing the UPS Distribution Inventory that consists of equipment being utilized for both fulfillment orders out of Standard Stock and Project Stock.
  • Reviewing New Equipment Return requests for approval or denial.
  • Placing orders for equipment to replenish Inventory levels based on usage, demand and run rate projections.
  • Auditing and monitoring Vendor delivery schedules, Project Deployment schedules, open Purchase Orders, Equipment Appropriation requests.

Requires working with various Departments within UPS to resolve any related problems that may arise. 

Additional Skills:

  • Preferred but not required for candidate to have some inventory control experience and a basic understanding of Service Level Agreements for UPS Supplied Hardware.

Skills Assessment Requirements:  Must complete skills assessments to determine knowledge level in Word, Excel before close date and time.  Access not required but a plus.

Additional Skills:

PeopleSoft - Beginner  
Windows 2007 - Intermediate  
Microsoft Office - Intermediate  
Experience with Coral (Vantive) system is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in dealings with vendors and management.
Strong planning and organization skills.
Strong computer skills in Excel are desired.
Strong overall knowledge of UPS technology and terminology is a plus. 
Team player with a positive attitude.
Self-motivated with ability to work under minimal supervision.

Work Environment:

The UPS Service Management Group consists of 4 employees, is part of Corporate TSG and located in Bldg. 1 at the UPS Supply Chain Solutions facility 2200 Outer Loop. The SMG has a direct impact on Service and cost to UPS. The work is challenging and communication flow is critical.  Leadership and Team Oriented individuals can excel. 
 
Education:

Associates degree preferred but not required or equivalent work experience and knowledge of Internal UPS Departments, Operations and infrastructures.
