Job Description:

International Account Manager

Are you ready to explore and develop new business relations with customers? As an International Account Manager at UPS, you will generate new business by managing international business relationships between UPS and all kinds of small and mid-sized businesses.

You’ll drive global businesses growth through, for example, solution development and value creation. Will you soon be joining the world’s most valuable logistics brand?

What you’ll do

As an International Account Manager, you will be executing business plans, through the identification and development of sales opportunities to ensure business plan objectives are achieved. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining the book of business, which contains for example maintaining contract compliance to ensure elements of contracts are being followed by both UPS and the customer, building roadmaps that support sales execution, and participating in ongoing training to learn about new UPS products and services. Other than that, you’ll maintain and share competitive knowledge by monitoring and tracking competitors to gain intelligence to be used in engaging prospects and customers.

Building customer relationships is very important, because it cultivates strong partnerships with customers to gain sales leads. Building on this strong partnership is something you are involved in on a daily basis, because you’ll collaborate with clients and need to understand the global supply chain processes within customers’ organizations or industries.

What you’ll need

  • At least a bachelor’s degree (Economics, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain).
  • Excellent communication skills and close attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiations skills with a successful track record.
  • Must have freight forwarding experience in Air and Ocean services.
  • Must have 3-5 years minimum sales experience.
  • Ability to conduct competitor and territory analysis
  • Business, financial, industry and supply chain knowledge
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships.
  • Independence. You’re able to work independently and are prepared to travel regularly within Europe.
