Customer Communications Specialist

EMEA Region Office

Marketing Department – Communications

Location: EMEA Region Office, Brussels, Belgium

Reports to: Customer Communications Supervisor, EMEA Region

Contract type: Permanent

Job summary:

The Customer Communications Specialist supports with the development, execution and distribution of communications materials. This includes customer-facing content and initiatives, as well as internal briefings to inform the wider marketing, sales and customer service teams. They are required to research, write, edit and manage approvals of communications materials in conjunction with stakeholders across the business. Working with vendors and in-country teams, they ensure materials are translated into all the necessary languages and shared in a timely and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities:

Support the Customer Communications Supervisor, country teams and the marketing department to:

  • Produce publications, briefings and service updates to keep internal stakeholders and customers informed of changes/updates to products and services, as well as rates/tariffs
  • Develop content:
  • Write sales support collateral (sales memos, leaflets, presentations)
  • Proof-read and edit sales material supplied by other departments
  • Create customer-facing materials such as emails, talking points and service alerts
  • Ensure all customer-facing content has a compelling narrative, call to action and follows the brand guidelines
  • Maintain content library platform
  • Coordinate and execute projects:
    • Arrange translations and content reviews with in-country teams
    • Coordinate submissions and feedback from internal stakeholders
    • Work with vendors as required
  • Raise POs, manage invoices and keep the department budget up-to-date
  • Support with internal reporting and meetings as needed

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a PR, communications or marketing role, ideally for an international company
  • Excellent command of English language, with strong writing and editing skills (native level). Other languages are an asset.
  • Organized and able to work on a variety of projects with tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to build positive working relationships with colleagues in different departments
  • Able to craft messaging and visuals for specific audiences, considering their needs and preferences
  • PowerPoint design skills
  • Analytical, able to conduct own research
  • Attention to detail, as well as being able to understand the big picture
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications or marketing
