Job Title: Part-Time Air Ramp Supervisor
Department: 1DA 9-11 Ramp – Worldport, 911 Grade Lane, Louisville KY 40213
Hours per Week: 30
Generally, ramp environment in vehicle. Limited office environment. Possibility of working in ramp environment/inclement weather events.
A Part-time Air Ramp Supervisor facilitates safety compliance, supervises and delivers training, supervises and develops others, supervises audit results, and supervises ramp operations.
The Part-time Air Ramp Supervisor monitors safety compliance, audit requirements, and inbound and outbound operations at the gateway. He / She develops a training plan for employees to ensure employee certifications are current. The position supervises others within the department.
Must quickly adapt to variables/adversity that arise outside of normal operation.
Possess strong communication skills to provide clear and concise instruction to crews.
Possess strong written skills to track and generate time-lines of inbound and outbound aircraft.
Strong communication and coordinate with multiple different operation and support functions.
Operate with a high level of independence and with necessary parties when escalation is necessary.
Possess a valid drivers' license and able to drive on UPS Ramps, and have a strong sense of UPS Safety Culture.
Applicants sought are those who have experience with multiple UPS systems including ACHS, ALP, and LTP.
General technical knowledge including Microsoft suite is also preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people from various departments. Must be positive, dependable, possess a high level of integrity, and have a strong sense of partnership.
