The Underwriter Supervisor is responsible for the financial analysis of new domestic and international business opportunities. He/She analyzes customer applications and gathers data to confirm prospects program eligibility. This position ensures quality and adherence to departmental underwriting guidelines, evaluates potential risk, processes insurance quotes, and responds to internal and external customer requests for information. He/She processes Risk Assessment Criteria (RACs) and prepares all financial spreads and addenda.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyzes and evaluates carrier and commodity risk; investigates customer shipping background and shipping behaviors
• Reviews financial and small package / freight information submitted by Business Development Officers to assess risk.
• Utilizes underwriting data and knowledge to construct policy structure.
• Reviews and revises RACs to prepare for final approval.
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field – Preferred - Risk Management
