Job Description:

The Revenue Management Analyst supports the development of revenue management strategies to ensure profitable growth and yield for business units across the UPS enterprise. He/She assists in establishing international incentive guidelines for U.S. Export and Import Services. This position helps create pricing guidelines, policies, and procedures for all U.S. based services in the Strategic and Non-National segments. He/She administers revenue management compliance and measurement objectives. The Revenue Management Analyst supervises specialists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops revenue management policies and procedures
  • Analyzes competitive environment and collaborates with internal departments to identify market conditions impacting UPS’s revenue management strategy.
  • Gathers and evaluates competitor intelligence (e.g., pricing postures, discount practices, response to UPS’s pricing actions, etc.) to uncover factors for loss and unrealized business.
  • Develops pricing response recommendations & determines relevant impact to internal dept & systems (e.g., Pricing, Billing, Sales, etc.) to submit to management (e.g., Revenue Management Strategy Manager, Revenue Mgmt. Strategy Director, etc.) for input and approval consideration.
  • Formulates clear and succinct policies and procedures to implement, upon Corporate Legal and management approval, to Pricing groups via training initiatives (e.g., net meeting, conference call, web-based, etc.)
  • Provides revenue management internal customer support.
  • Creates and manages revenue management tools to support Pricing and Sales groups.
  • Provides revenue management expertise in marketing initiatives to sync with revenue management strategies.
  • Provides revenue management guidance (e.g., training, clarification of guidelines, policies, procedures, etc.) to internal departments (e.g., Sales, Pricing, Billing, etc.) to support business decisions and operations.
  • Administers and assists with development of pricing guidelines.
  • Utilizes advanced Excel, Access, SQL Server, Data Warehouse and Power BI skills to complete reports and analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates an understanding of implementation objectives, project plan, and one's role within a project.
  • Understands the objectives, strategies and policies of Revenue Management, the role that it plays, and how it interacts with other functions, particularly Sales, Marketing, Finance and I.T
  • Possesses an understanding of basic project planning processes, including planning action items and resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or related field

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience.
