Job Summary

As a Corporate Engineering Training Intern you will be asked to support the Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) function with developing sustainable training content. This content ranges from the just-in-time training for immediate deployment to the field to structured self-paced training curriculums and longer format workshops. Multimedia content is also an essential component from training videos, CBTs, and written guides to upcoming AR/VR content.

The Training Intern will identify gaps in current training resources provided on the BaSE website, assist with the development of training content, and provide administrative support in the maintenance of training documents and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with training leadership to assess training material gaps on BaSE website
  • Re-design Training site on the BaSE homepage
  • Create Computer Based Training (CBT) using available e-learning course creation applications
  • Review, edit and Beta test CBTs under development
  • Research industry leaders in technical training and offer suggestions to improve current training
  • Provide administrative support with organization of BaSE Training materials and content
  • Follow-up and track progress on initiatives, new projects, and certifications through completion

Preferences

  • STEM background in IT, electrical, mechanical, automation or other related fields of study.  (Candidates with a strong training and development background will also be considered.)
  • Demonstrates strong writing and editing skills
  • Demonstrates an ability to multi-task and be highly organized, detail-oriented, with outstanding follow through skills
  • Learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; supplies appropriate details when responding to questions; maintains organized files
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify, adapt and apply approaches in problem solving
  • Demonstrates a high degree of independent judgment, accuracy and timeliness
  • Demonstrates advance knowledge of various software packages, including Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to quickly learn video editing and e-learning software
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
