Senior Applications Developer

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience.  As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

About this role:

Will consider candidates from the following I.T. Campus locations:  NJ, MD, GA & KY.

The Senior Applications Developer will manage overall security configuration for UPS Workday. This person will provide technical assistance and troubleshooting expertise related to Workday Production and development related security issues. Updates existing security roles with adding/removing Domain Security Policies and Business Process Policies. In addition, this person will also develop medium complex workday EIB and Studio integrations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with Agile Development, .NET, SQL Language and Vulnerability/Threat Analysis
  • Hands on development experience in Workday security configuration and integration build
  • Maintaining system configuration, data audits, and releases of new functionality for Workday
  • Participating in system integration testing; analyzing the effectiveness and functionality of new configurations to ensure all requirements are met
  • Knowledge of Collaboration and Time Management & Prioritization
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
