Job Summary

The Product Marketing Assistant Manager participates in the management of UPS product portfolio and assist in the development and execution of product marketing strategies. He/she gathers data and performs analyses to assess the performance of UPS’s products and services. The Product Marketing Assistant Manager assists his/her manager in summarizing and communicating the results of the analyses to key stakeholders throughout the organization. The Product Marketing Assistant Manager manage an Analyst and reports to the Product Marketing Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather and compile data from secondary data sources and in-house reporting tools to facilitate reporting and analyses.

  • Develop subject matter expertise on internal and external sources of information (e.g., customer data, market data, industry data, etc.) for analyses.

  • Monitor current product performance to optimize development of customer analyses.

  • Maintain subject matter expertise of UPS’s products/services

  • Research internal and external customer data to understand factors driving product performance and results to support service enhancements and network planning

  • Identify customer needs and analyze marketing research information to develop value propositions on UPS products that clearly articulate UPS's positioning against the competition

  • Support workgroup efforts in addressing opportunities and gaps; establish action plans based on customer research to enhance UPS products and services

  • Perform analyses to support the development of business cases

  • Assist in preparation of critical documentation of all concept analyses to ensure documentation is complete and up to date

  • Assist in the development of project scope, schedule, initiation and work plan development to establish accountability

  • Update project plans to ensure that projects are completed on time and according to specification

  • Supervise and develop others by holding others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals

  • Resolve individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures


Job Requirements
  • Minimum Degree or higher major in Marketing or Business Administration

  • 3-5 years relevant working experience from any industry in data analyses, project management and market search

  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel (VLookup, Pivot table), MS PowerPoint, and MS Access

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work and interact well with cross-functions and colleagues in other countries

  • Logical thinking qualities and approach

  • Positive attitude towards a challenging work environment

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
