Summary


The Brokerage Supervisor provides supports to all 13 Brokerage Operations sites in the APAC region. He/She reviews and discusses operations plans, monitors and communicates operation's performance, assists in reviews to meet customer needs, and maintains a close relationship with both operations sites and some customers.



Responsibilities


Ensures Compliance and Quality Process


  • Evaluates quality performance to identify process improvements and increase quality levels.

  • Supports identifying areas around customs regulations and requirements to assist in making sure they are adhered to on a site during the entry filing process.

  • Monitors compliance and liability reports to reduce cargo delays and costs associated with non-compliance of Customs Border Protection regulations.

  • Recommends process improvement & solutions to develop quality standards to improve quality and work processes.

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of process improvements to recognize and reward top performers.

  • Provides feedback to external and internal customers to ensure awareness of service quality



Oversees Brokerage Exception Reviews


  • Monitors various reports to proactively resolve exceptions to ensure timely Customs release.

  • Assist in resolving Customs' problems in a timely manner to meet customers' expectations and avoid penalties.

  • Conducts reviews on sites corrective action plans where needed to provide guidance and support



Monitors Productivity and Reports


  • Monitors operations reports to ensure productivity goals are achieved.

  • Reviews existing processes to identify inefficiencies and cost reduction opportunities. 


Requirements


  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar capacity (Brokerage Operations) is required preferably from the transportation/logistics/airline industry.

  • Possess relevant Customs Brokerage Certification will be preferable.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and able to work well with people of all levels.

  • Exceptional analytical (conducting customer analysis to identify customer trends, standard research data), conceptual, and problem-solving abilities (well-versed in understanding supply chain concepts and propose recommendations).

  • Require demonstrated skills in MS Office Programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint).
