UPS is seeking a dynamic Sales Operations Supervisor to provide initiative and data support for the Sales Operations Manager. He/She is responsible for ensuring day-to-day activities dispatched by the Sales Operations Manager are met and manages the Sales Operations Specialist. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on sales system reports for the sales team
  • Serves as a functional liaison/gatekeeper for communications distributed to field sales to ensure the messaging is consistent and supports the vision of the sales organization
  • Prioritizes sales support workloads to ensure volume and revenue reports are completed in a timely manner
  • Monitors sales support requests to verify availability of resources and scope of knowledge
  • Consolidates field sales communications
  • Ensures Corporate endorsed sales processes are adhered to at the district level for compliance
  • Performs district analysis and forecasting
  • Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans
  • Communicates processes and procedures outlined by Corporate Business Development for distribution to field sales

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of products, services, and customer facing technology solutions offered by UPS along with their features and business applications; describes general customer profiles targeted by the company
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of competitor’s tactics, product/service offerings, and strategies; translates competitor performance and actions into implications for UPS
  • Distinguishes between “big picture” concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work
  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income
  • Generates reports in appropriate format using basic software; reviews reports to ensure accuracy and completeness; identifies issues with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.)
  • Demonstrates and explains proper processes, procedures and methods for small package operations; demonstrates a basic knowledge of common tools, equipment, and technology used within the operation
