Job Description:
Job Summary
The Senior Systems Programming Analyst within the Configuration Management & Infrastructure Orchestration team (CM.io), is to support the adoption of automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, the VMware tool suite as well as guide the integration of these technologies with our IT Service Management platform, ServiceNow. As part of this role the individual will be partnering with stakeholders across TEC to assist in automating complex tools and processes. This individual should be expected to be passionate about using the right tools for the job and setting up best practices for automation and tools, and have a strong desire for change.
Responsibilities:
- Develop automation code using but not limited to: Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash
- Maintaining automation platforms: upgrading, patching
- Evangelizing automation and best practice to the organization through: training sessions, art of the possible dialogue, wikis and documentation
Qualifications:
- Hands on experience with public cloud
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Cloud-based deployment tools like Google Deployment Manager
- Experience using Python, Bash and Powershell
- Experience with Linux System Administration and Windows Operating System
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent in Computer Science or a related field - Preferred
- Experience managing projects
