About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our technology teams use expertise in applications programming & database technologies to support enterprise infrastructure. They create & support application frameworks & tools. They support deployment of applications & services across a multi-tier environment that processes up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive business goals & provide the ultimate customer experience. About this role:

The Intermediate Applications Developer will be part of a team that is responsible for development, maintenance, production support and system upgrades for a mission critical application that is used daily in UPS Operations.  He/She will be responsible for conducting systems and requirements analyses to identify project action items.  He/She will records update, monitors and determine solutions for project deviations to ensure effective resolutions.  He/She will also review and compile project issues to support effective resolutions and monitors project activities to ensure I.S. governance, standards, and policies compliance.

The Intermediate Applications Developer provides input and support, performs full systems life cycle management activities. Participates in technology planning, best practices and testing for Applications Development initiatives to meet business requirements. Collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. Provide input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects.

Duties will include:

  • Conducting systems and requirements analyses to identify project action items
  • Recording, updating, monitoring, and determining solutions for project deviations to ensure effective resolutions 
  • Reviewig and compiling project issues to support effective resolutions 
  • Monitoring project activities to ensure I.S. governance, standards, and policies compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with .NET and C# .NET 
  • Knowledge of Couchbase
  • Familiarity with Agile Development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
