About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). About this role:

The Senior Applications Developer must have skills and experience in application development, testing and implementation of Java OpenShift applications. He/She will provide input, support and will perform full systems life cycle management activities. The Senior Applications Developer researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies providing knowledge and support for all phases. He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication in supporting the achievement of objectives.

The position is in a team that is implementing the replacement of the Aviation Training Management System (ATMS) and Flight Training Records (FTR) with the MINT (SaaS) solution. Senior Programmer will be helping in the implementation of the replacement. This position will be coding and working closely with several teams, such as Crew Scheduling, Transition, Flight Payroll Control (FPC), Business as well as other developers. This position requires Java, Spring boot, Apache Camel and MQ experience, OpenShift exposure, and Oracle experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with Angular 2 and SQL Programming
• Knowledge of Agile Development, J2EE Development and MQ
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum Concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a team player
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
