Job Description:

As a Solution Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing tailored logistics and supply chain solutions that meet customer requirements while driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will partner closely with business development, operations, IT, and finance teams to analyze data, identify opportunities, and develop scalable, innovative, and financially sound logistics strategies across warehousing, distribution, and transportation services]

What You’ll Do: Drive Innovation and Lead Change

As a Solution Design Engineer, you won’t just analyze spreadsheets — you’ll design smarter, faster, and more scalable warehousing and distribution solutions that redefine what’s possible. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, collaborating across teams, influencing key decisions, and helping our customers win.

You will:

  • Analyze complex customer data and supply chain challenges to craft custom-built logistics solutions.
  • Design best-in-class warehouse operations — from layout and automation to labor and process flows.
  • Develop pricing models that balance operational efficiency with customer value and profitability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Operations, and IT to drive solution alignment and feasibility.
  • Present insights, lead solution reviews, and provide guidance during new business implementation.
  • Write persuasive RFP responses and technical documents that tell the story of your solution.
  • Champion continuous improvement by introducing innovative approaches that elevate performance across the supply chain.

What You Bring to the Table (Skills)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in solution design, logistics engineering, or a similar analytical/technical role
  • Strong modeling skills using Excel and comfort working with data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, and WMS functionality
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to lead discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Experience with AutoCAD, simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic), SQL, or Power BI

Additional Information for Internal Candidates:

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to self-relocate not a remote position.

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

  • Job Grade: 20G
