About this role:

The Applications Architect position is responsible for the development and expansion of Fleet Systems, SmartTrailer, Consolidated Feeder Equipment Status, and Transportation Data Services programs including Keyless Tractor, IVIS Mobility ELD (IVIS 3.0), Asset Data Platform (ADP), Connected Vehicle Platform (CVP) and Connected Vehicle Integration in support of Feeder Operations and Automotive business units. Position also to align with and uphold ATS architecture community, enterprise architecture governance, and other cross-program/cross-SDG business initiatives. Individual will be expected to be an influential representative within the Class 8 Trucking and Connected Vehicle industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with Architectural Patterns, Architecture and Product Roadmapping and Web Service & API Development
  • Knowledge of Influencing skills
  • Passion and Strategic Planning
  • Advanced experience with Java, .NET, Javascript, Typescript, Tomcat (Spring Boot), IIS, NodeJS
  • Deep understanding of Private and Public Cloud Platforms: OpenShift, Google Cloud, Azure
  • Ability to communicate with external vendors/suppliers and influence industry direction
  • Must be able to architect at the intersection where digital meets the physical
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
