Work Environment: Industrial and office environment within the ACMX district. The primary purpose of the district is to provide regularly scheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance and handling of the arrival and departure of the airline's jet aircraft. The parts, tooling, equipment required, as well as, various support activities to maintain the aircraft are all integral parts of the district. The ACMXIE department supports these various operations.
Job Summary: The IE Supervisor supports ACMX operations by providing planning and support at a division and/or center level. Activities include (but are not limited to) operational planning, holiday/peak planning, budgeting/staffing analysis and capital expenditure planning, operational improvement analysis, recommendations and implementation. The IE Supervisor completes special projects as required. The IE Supervisor participates and/or leads continuous improvement initiatives. The IE Supervisor needs to possess a working knowledge of data analytics and be able to program and develop data driven reports.
Job Description: (1) Completes data research and utilizes planning tools to evaluate operational efficiency and to recommend operational process improvements. (2) Coordinates and cost justifies capital expenditure requests to improve employee production and/or product quality. (3) Develops long range plans for operational area(s), projecting staffing needs, space needs, equipment purchases, etc. to support ACMX operations. (4) Develops quarterly and annual business plans (budgets) for groups supported. (5) Works closely with operations management and a union workforce. (6) Participates in and/or leads continuous improvement projects within the areas supported. (7) Analyzes dat to drive change in the operations supported.
Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree required. Industrial Engineering background or related field preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access).
Additional Skills: Working knowledge of Visual Studio, VBA, UPS Mainfrrame applications. Ability to work in ODBC tables, build queries, utilize PowerPivot or PowerBI. AUTOCAD Experience.
