Labor Relations Supervisor


This is a permanent, full-time position within the UPS Healthcare Italy division, based at the Liscate office in Milan and then moving to Lodi in mid-2023. We are offering a competitive salary and benefits for a capable and proficient Labor Relations Supervisor operating in the pharmaceutical logistics and distribution market.


Providing direct support to UPS Healthcare Management, you will work closely with our HR Business Partner team as the main contact for internal and external social partners. Personable, communicative and decisive, you will use your problem-solving abilities to maintain constructive social dialogue with employees and stakeholders.

What you’ll do: 

  • Report directly to the UPS Healthcare Italy Managing Director and Labor Manager
  • Operate under European compliance guidelines, work with HR to ensure local labor compliance
  • Be the primary contact for union members and internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with management to organize union meetings, and participate in these
  • Manage collective and individual labor disputes and conflicts
  • Train and provide advice to internal stakeholders
  • Keep track of relevant legal and collective labor topics, and ensure that HR and our legal departments are kept abreast of any developments that could influence the organization

We’re looking for someone with the following:

  • Previous experience as a Labor Specialist or Manager in a complex organization, preferably in the logistics, pharma or retail sector
  • A degree, preferably in labor law or economics with a labor-focus
  • Prior knowledge of Italian Trade CBA (CCNL Commercio e Terziario)
  • Solid experience in negotiating with unions, employees and employer stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to identify problems and the autonomy to prioritize important tasks
  • Skill, passion, and restlessness to improve
  • Business proficiency in English
  • A willingness to travel, as you may be required to go on business trips
