UPS Capital is seeking a Development Representative who is responsible for growing our customer base with our risk mitigation solutions. The Development Representative uses available resources to proactively contact prospects and customers, identify business needs and create qualified opportunities that build the pipeline for the sales organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintains knowledge of UPS Capital’s products and services to develop appropriate and compelling value proposals to potential customers
  • Maintains awareness of competitive environment and competitor’s offerings
  • Increases the quality and quantity of qualified leads for the sales force resulting in stronger pipelines and increased revenue by fostering prospects, building trust and rapport that leads to opportunity

Knowledge and Skills

  • Possesses Georgia Property/Casualty Insurance license or willing and able to obtain a license(UPS Capital will pay for course and testing)
  • Applies knowledge of customer business models and operating structures and offers sales solutions to support the customer’s strategic business objectives
  • Builds internal relationships with Business Development to drive new customer revenue
  • Effectively solicits information using various information-gathering techniques
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Highly motivated and results oriented
  • Exhibits professional office and telephone etiquette
  • Ability to gather key information to update the CRM system
  • Previous sales experience in one of the following areas: B2B, logistics, 3PL or insurance - Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred
  • Previous outbound call experience - Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel) - Preferred
