National Account Executive

Business Development is a big focus of ours, and right now we want a self-motivated and highly ambitious National Account Executive to cover the UK South East.
The UPS National Account Executive is responsible for maintaining and building an intricate relationships with some of the UKs higher spend customers. Accountable for a closed customer base, customer retention and growth will be harnessed through daily contact where best in class service is at the forefront of everything you do. Customer account strategy is crucial for understanding these complex clients, identifying their business needs and aligning UPS product and service offering accordingly. The National Account Executive will review service, aid in resolving business challenges and work on building and enhancing the customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
• Make sales visits to existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and identify further business opportunities
• Prepare periodic customer business reviews and presentations to major customers which assess customer statistics and business developments
• Establish areas of quantified value for customer within UPS service portfolio and analyse the customers supply chain needs
• Ensure that customers actual volume and revenue is similar to original expectations and investigate reasons and take corrective action for any discrepancies
• Build successful partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels of customers’ organizations to cultivate relationships and generate revenue opportunities
• Negotiate contract renewals when required by the customer or UPS
• Complete all necessary documentation to ensure that rates agreed with the customer are communicated internally
• Liaise internally with the UPS centre staff to make sure they are fully aware of any non-standard operational requirements agreed with the customer
• Work alongside other function departments to optimize the customer experience
• Complete all reporting procedures as required by the country BD manager
• Achieve all SMART targets as set down by the BD manager
• Prepare and present projects at sales meetings and other meetings as required
• Maintain and grow after a customer base of approx. 15 customers who have multi sites across UK
• Sell all products within a comprehensive portfolio of both domestic and international services
• Promote the UPS corporate image

About You:
• Excellent communication skills
• Competent in Microsoft office applications
• Minimum 18 months successful business to business field sales experience, preferably industry related
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment
• Flexibility and ability to work in a target driven environment
• Full clean driving license held for at least 2 years
• Minimum age 21
• Experience of creating and delivering presentations
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
