UPS is seeking a dynamic End User Computing (EUC) Development Specialist to join our team. If this sounds like your ideal opportunity, we want to hear from you!

The EUC Development Specialist is responsible for designing and building applications of low complexity to fulfill user requirements. He/She provides support and maintenance for current applications to ensure efficient use of resources and to resolve application issues.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reviews requests to determine scope of the users’ requests
  • Analyzes current technical solutions to prevent application redundancy
  • Researches current processes to determine when technical solutions can be implemented
  • Researches application data sources to determine the availability of the requested data
  • Prepares project timelines and communicates to requester to set expectations
  • Creates databases and codes applications to ensure accuracy
  • Conducts testing to ensure applications are error-free
  • Makes application (i.e., low to medium complexity) updates to meet changing business needs, and resolves anomalies and improves efficiency

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of database design principles, identifies users’ requirements and needs with guidance from others, while demonstrating a basic understanding of the importance of maintaining and updating databases
  • Describes basic categories of data, locates and generates reports of existing data naming and structuring standards with supervision, and recognizes the need for consistent data terminology and format
  • Previous experience developing solutions using either VB.Net or C#, Microsoft Access and VBA
