Job Summary: Evaluate US Export Shipments identified as requiring AES filing and assign/apply Schedule B, License number, License exemption and ECCN as required.
Job Description: Secure pertinent details on exporting commodities from U.S. shippers via customer provided documentation, UPS operating systems and e-mail communications with the customer. Possess thorough knowledge of U.S. export control requirements and the ability to gain this information by using extensive resources. Make mathematical calculations and ensure proper questions are posed to the shipper regarding country of origin, parties to the transaction, values and the end use of the goods being exported. Establish contacts with frequent exporters. Prioritize work to meet port specific deadlines and avoid fines and penalties. Document packages being held on proper hold lists.
Required Skills: Candidate must have acceptable attendance record. Maximum of 4 concerns within a 6 month period. Candidate must have an effective ATPA score on last evaluation. Able to work additional hours as needed. Must be able to work holidays.
Additional Skills: Brokerage Rating preferred. College degree is preferred. Ability to speak foreign language, Spanish or French is desired.

Ability to handle stressful situations. Must be a team player able to work in a team environment. Possess excellent written/oral communication skills. Work Environment: The brokerage operation is 24x7. Staffing consists of full and part time employees. Brokerage is responsible for clearing international shipments that are entering and exiting the U.S. The dress code is business flex attire. Candidate for this position will be working a in a group of approximately twenty employees.
