Job Description:

The Trade Consultant I impacts the organization by providing customers with advice on how to conduct their international business while maintaining compliance with applicable government regulations. He/She conducts on-site compliance assessments at customer facilities and drafts audit findings and recommendations for presentation to client management teams. This position works with customers to develop compliance improvement plans and draft import and export policies and procedures manuals. He/She provides import and export compliance analysis and direction to clients in the areas of classification, valuation, preferential trade programs (e.g., Free Trade Agreements [FTA], Drawback, etc.), and other government agency requirements and export licensing and to render assistance to clients prior to and during Customs audits. This position has no direct reports and teams with the Trade Consultant III when consulting with Sales and for client delivery.
