We are looking for a Brokerage Supervisor to join our team.
The UPS Brokerage Supervisor role covers a wide range of services and legislative requirements for both Internal and External Customers.
Reporting to the Brokerage Manager the role involves managing a large team of Brokers, Classifiers and Admin Staff.
Maintaining the smooth and efficient running of all areas of the Customs Brokerage department.
Activity maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients along with engagement at all levels with Government departments.
Providing guidance to Brokers, Classifiers and admin staff.
Detailed Classification to determine correct Tariff (HTS), Complex Valuation of import shipments.
Audit parts missing from the database and update as required,
Liaise with customer's to ensure prompt generation of technical based enquiries,
over see the internal audit process on completed customs entries,
Assist Brokerage Manager to meet the departments KPIs and Service agreements to the UPS Customer.
Conduct one on one staffing reviews and other staffing requirement processors as required.
Be able to produce reports, understand financial impacts and work within budgets.
Maintain and develop rosters to meet the continual changing freight environment.
To be successful would require:
• At least 3-5 years experience managing a team.
• Experienced licensed Broker for minimum 5-8 years
• Ability to set priorities
• Understanding of EDI Cargowise Software (optional)
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Eye for detail and accuracy
• Be able to perform under pressure
