About this role:

The Senior Applications Developer will need to have experience working on medium to complex agile projects. In this role, the candidate will be eliciting, analyzing, and communicating very closely with cross-functional teams, business as well as vendor teams. He/she will be creating and managing detailed written business and functional requirements, participate in sprint planning, story grooming, Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, and periodic reviews of requirements based on the product roadmap.

The Senior Applications Developer provides input and support for, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.).  He/She participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements. This position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations.  He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. This position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. He/She provides input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects.

The Senior Applications Developer is responsible for all phases of application development for components comprising Web Development Technologies. He/she must have experience in design, development using .Net/.Net Core, API, SQL Server DB, unit/integration testing and support QA. Experience developing data integrations in various formats (XML, Excel, API, etc). Candidate must be familiar with I.T. application development and Info Security standards and methodologies. Knowledge of multi-platform integrations and workflows is a strong plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of working experience with SQL Programming

• 3+ years of working experience with .Net/.Net Core, API, Agile Development, and Windows Platform

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps (TFS) is required

• Familiarity with development of integration platforms

• Must have leadership and team building skills, and be collaborative

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience

  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of development experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

• Now or in the future UPS employment sponsorship, such as H1B, TN, J-1, F-1, etc., is not offered to start or continue temporary or permanent employment with UPS.

• Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree)

• Must have technical knowledge of REST, build processes, and testing frameworks

• If required and where permitted by applicable law, employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by their date of hire/placement to be considered for employment. Fully vaccinated means two weeks after receiving the second shot for Pfizer and Moderna, or two weeks after Johnson & Johnson
