JOB DESCRIPTION:

UPS is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic HR-Co-Op to join our University Relations Team! This person will assist our team in attracting premier professional and technical candidates utilizing a variety of successful recruiting channels. This HR Co-Op may travel on limited and local basis to support engagements at colleges, diversity organizations and various affinity groups. S/he reviews resumes, conducts HR fit phone interviews, and presents potential best-fit candidates to the hiring manager for consideration. S/he actively sources candidates to ensure requisition needs are promptly filled with quality hires.

This HR Co-Op monitors employment processes to ensure legal compliance and makes recommendations for process improvements. S/he sources and recruits candidates using a variety of outlets, such as job postings and social media, while targeting ideal candidates for the job. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manages candidate flow through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Updates recruitment team on requisitions status to ensure hiring needs are met timely and SLAs are fulfilled
  • Supports engagements at colleges, diversity organizations and various affinity groups
  • Selects applicants, reviews resume, and identifies candidates with basic job qualifications
  • Presents minimally qualified resumes for review
  • Conducts data analysis and presents findings to business partners

Knowledge and Skills

  • Detail oriented with demonstrated experience soliciting and gathering information
  • Analytical with ability to conduct research, assess and summarize data, and provide solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred
  • Experienced with college/university recruitment activities - Preferred
  • Strong research and data analytics skills - Preferred
  • Domiciled in the Atlanta, Georgia area with the ability to report to an office as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have experience demonstrating techniques for soliciting and gathering information
  • Must be available to travel on a limited/local basis, during spring and fall college recruiting seasons
  • Must have experience working in a team focused environment
  • Must be domiciled in the Atlanta, Georgia area with the ability to report to an office as needed
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including advanced level functions in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a graduating senior or recent graduate from a degreed college/university program within the past 24 months
  • Must be able to work year-round, 40 hours per week
