UPS is seeking an individual interested in joining a rapidly growing team of specialists within the procurement sector focused on project sourcing across international markets. Does this sound like your ideal career opportunity? If so, we want to hear from you.

The Project Material Procurement Specialist supports project and sourcing teams in the development of sourcing initiatives on an international supply chain basis. He/She conducts analysis/reporting and supports supplier evaluation, qualification and performance measurement. The Project Material Procurement Specialist assists in writing and distribution of Requests for Proposals (RFP's), and Requests for Information (RFI's). He/She facilitates the tracking of Project Schedules and product delivery requirements with a potentially global footprint. This position conducts data collection and analysis for specific commodities to help control and ultimately lower project costs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports the Project Construction Process with the creation of RFP's and RFI's
  • Performs economic research and prepares analysis to identify qualified suppliers and evaluate reliability
  • Develops spreadsheets, documents, reports and presentations
  • Supports development of financial and performance clauses, metrics, terms and rebates/penalties
  • Tracks project schedules, procurement savings and delivery needs

Knowledge and Skills

  • Training in International Supply Chains, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Design or related background
  • Able to conduct research supporting Global Supply Chain Design and integration
  • Establishes Metrics and performance tools
  • Familiar with Linear Modeling, Programming and/or regression analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred
  • Multilingual - Preferred
  • Familiarity or interest in Project Management and schedule dependent procurement processes - Preferred
