Internal Audit Intern

The Internal Audit Intern will analyze the internal controls related to UPS businesses, processes, and entities to identify and develop audit methodologies for testing and reporting on areas of concern (including operations, compliance, and finance and accounting). He/She will conduct interviews or research to obtain an understanding of existing or new processes. This position analyzes process flows through observation or through review of documented process maps/narratives to identify control strengths and weaknesses within a process or entity.
Job Duties
- Assist in developing audit programs which will test compliance with UPS procedures, General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other standard business practices
- Participate in audits on existing processes utilizing developed audit programs
- Assist with composing and finalizing audit reports
- Participate in general business responsibilities and duties
- Work on Internal Control projects to improve efficiency or to develop new processes
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) - preferred
- GPA of 3.0 or higher - preferred
- MBA or MAcc (Master in Accounting) degree - preferred
